Sandra L. Mickle, 72, of Lorraine Drive, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Sandra was born on December 12, 1948 in Cobleskill. She loved the outdoors, camping and never missed a night-time drive in the country. Sandy also loved watching game shows and cooking shows on television. Her home was always filled with the aromas of home cooking and fresh baking. A talented cook, with charm and whit, she prepared many meals and loved visiting with patrons at M&J’s Café in Middleburgh for many years before retiring. Her greatest love though, beyond measure, was for her family and her grandbabies. They truly were the light in her eyes.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents: Marion (Jackson) and Virgil Winnie; her husband: Reuben S. Mickle, Jr. and her granddaughter: Anyssa Ann Pisano
She will be loved forever by her daughter: Anna Mickle (Mark Schrom); sons: Jeremy Mickle (Sarah Bouck), Reuben (April) Mickle, III, all of Middleburgh; grandchildren: Ashley (Joseph) Talarico, Ambir (Corey) Merwin, Timothy Mickle, Emily Mickle, Lindsey Mickle, Mark Schrom, Christian McCance, Raven Pisano, Jadyn Pisano, LJ Schrom, Alissa Schrom, Oliver Poole; great-grandchildren: Aiden, Eli and Peyton Talarico; siblings: Theresa Cousineau, “Chuck” Slater, Roger Winnie, Anthony “Mike” Winnie, Christopher Winnie; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of her life will be at 6:00PM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Main Street, Middleburgh. All are invited to visit with her family from 5:00-6:00PM on Friday, prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date in Middleburgh Cemetery.
