Raymond Simeon Obituary

Middleburgh – Raymond A. Simeon’s peace came Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in his home, wrapped in the love, care and faith of his family.

Ray was born on July 24, 1941 in Queens to Claire (Kauffman) and Raymond J. Simeon.  He graduated from John Adams High School and proudly served two years in the United States Navy as a jet mechanic before his honorable discharge.  Ray will be remembered fondly by many for his 30 plus years at Middleburgh Central School, retiring as Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.

Some of his favorite hobbies included fishing, camping, snowmobiling, reading and any activity involving his family.  His life overflowed with memories, stories, laughter and love shared with his beautiful wife, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by his sister: Dorothy Kane and his grandson: Raymond “Ray Ray” Simeon.

Cherishing his love forever are his wife: Kathleen (Sprague) whom he married on September 21, 1963; his children: Scott (Gail) Simeon, Randy (Janet) Simeon, Todd Simeon, Daniel (Stacey) Simeon; his grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob, Shauna, Dylan, Noelle, Issac, Gabriel, Mandi, Cameron and 3 step-grandchildren: Brian, Ashley and Arthur; his 12 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law: Thomas Kane; his nephews: Thomas (Nikki) Kane and Christopher Kane.

A memorial service will be at the family's convenience at a later date and they appreciate you remembering him and them through this time.
