Middleburgh – Betty Lou DeAngelo, 84, of State Route 145, Middleburgh, found the eternal peace of Heaven on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from the warmth of her home, in the loving care of her daughter.
Betty was born on April 1, 1936 in Lawyersville to Margaret (Osterhout) and Claude Keller, who both predeceased her.
Betty was a talented seamstress, even owning her own Bridal shop. Besides sewing, she loved quilting, knitting and many other crafts. Betty enjoyed sharing her talents with the Phoebes, quilting ladies who make and donate their quilts to those in need. Betty also volunteered with the Joshua Project and the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley. Believing in her faith and sharing the love and peace of her Lord, Betty was a member of the New Beginnings Church, formerly the Valley Alliance Church, in Middleburgh for over 20 years.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Anthony DeAngelo.
Loving her forever are her daughter: Cindy Percival of Florida; stepsons: Gary DeAngelo, Bryan DeAngelo, Thomas DeAngelo; grandchildren: Gary DeAngelo, Jr., Joseph DeAngelo, Grace DeAngelo, Keri DeAngelo, Breanna DeAngelo; great-grandchildren: Gianni DeAngelo, Miley DeAngelo, Amelia DeAngelo, all of Long Island; and many other family members friends and her church family.
A funeral service, in thanks to God for Betty’s life, will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the New Beginnings Church, 2853 Route 145, Schoharie, NY. There will be no formal visitation hours and all are requested to respect social distancing and wearing masks, per COVID-19 guidelines. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery, Route 20, Sharon Springs.
