Amsterdam – Robin A. VanSteenburg, 57, of County Highway 106, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Robin was born on June 30, 1960 at the former Stamford Hospital to Marilyn A. (Bryan) and Robert H. Wood, Sr.
She worked at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance for over twenty years, retiring in 2015, leaving many friends that she had made there over the years.
Robin was a devoted Seattle Seahawks fan and she loved hot air balloons.
She was predeceased by her father and her husband, Walter “Steamy” VanSteenburg.
Robin’s family includes her mother: Marilyn Wood and brother: Robert H. Wood, Jr., both of Esperance; uncles: Kerry Bryan of Cairo, Ralph Wood and Wendell (Mary) Wood, both of Middleburgh, Fred (Linda) Wood of Howes Cave; her aunt: Bonnie Klein of Middleburgh and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh, with Rev. Maryellen Moore officiating. All are invited to visit with Robin’s family on Tuesday from 1-2PM prior to the service.
