Middleburgh – Robert “Bob” A. Winters, 94, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his beloved mountaintop home.
Bob was born in Elizabeth, NJ on May 24, 1923 to Bertha (Weber) and Arthur Winters. Stationed in France and Germany, Bob proudly served from 1943-1946 in the United States Army during World War II.
Bob then began his career as a machinist for the Singer Sewing Machine Company until retiring in 1981. He enjoyed 37 years of retirement at home, tinkering, gardening, hunting and spending his days outside.
He was predeceased by his siblings Betty and Thomas.
Bob’s family includes his nephew: Alfred (Betty Ann) Weber of Ringwood, TX; nieces: Linda (Raymond) Delaney of Port Reading, NJ, Christina (Amy) Weber-Walker of Hopelawn, NJ; cousins: Alan (Carol) Bell of New Haven, MO, Judy (Fritz) Zwicker of Middleburgh and many grand-nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh with Pastor Maryellen Moore officiating. All are invited to a visitation from 10-11:30AM, prior to the service. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, Saratoga.
