Middleburgh – Hearts and lives were broken forever on Monday October 22, 2018. Yet from this loss, strength, perseverance and love will abound. The very things Ray coached and held to be true.
Born on June 1, 1969 to Geraldine (Batza) and Robert W. Kimball, Raymond M. Kimball grew up in a loving home, graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1988 and then from Hudson Valley Community College in 1991. His beaming smile, hearty laugh, tremendous sense of humor and kind spirit assured friendships and reached many in his community, not just as the Middleburgh Varsity Track Coach, but as a friend, colleague and mentor.
Ray cherished time with his family, enjoyed working with his hands in light construction and never passed an opportunity to motivate himself through physical activities. He was an avid hiker and proud member of the ADK 46’ers, held a black belt in Karate and was a diehard Syracuse Orangemen and NY Jets fan.
He will be held forever in the hearts of his wife Carole (Chichester) Kimball and his daughter: Megan Kimball; his parents: Geraldine and Robert Kimball, all of Middleburgh; his sister: Kimberly Kimball of Cobleskill; his brother and sister-in-law: Henry, Sr. and Rachael Kimball of North Blenheim; his nieces and nephew: McKayla, Maggie and Henry Kimball, Jr., all of North Blenheim and many other extended family members and friends.
All are invited to a visitation with Ray’s family from 4PM to 7PM on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh. There will be no formal public services.
Raymond’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Breakabeen Cemetery Association, PO Box 142, Fultonham, NY 12071 or to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005
