Jefferson – Kathaleen M. (Gebhard) Putman, 86, of Peraglie Road, died peacefully, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her home.
Born on November 29, 1931 in Union City, NJ to Kathaleen A. (McDermott) and Arthur B. Lynch, Sr., Kathaleen was one of 5 children in her family.
Kathaleen moved to the Hobart area in 1956 and then to her home in Jefferson in 1973.
Instilled with a passionate work ethic, Kathaleen kept her home and helped work the family farm for many years, loving and caring for her land and the animals. She adored animals and up until recently would take walks with her cat and dog around her property.
She was also a passionate dancer and enjoyed square dancing to Country music with the Schoharie Valley Hay Shakers. Her greatest passion was her family and Kathaleen loved watching them all grow, sharing memories and hearing about all of the different things going on in their lives.
Kathaleen was predeceased by her first husband: Thomas Gebhard, Sr., her second husband: Bernie Putman; 2 grandchildren: Sara Gebhard and Mandar Gebhard; her siblings: Rosemary Herbert, Arthur Lynch, Jr. and Warren Lynch.
Kathaleen’s love and memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of her children: Kathaleen Kosier of Lakeland Fl, Thomas (Shirley) Gebhard, Jr. of Grand Gorge, Michael (Gloria) Gebhard of Middleburgh; brother: Roger (Dorothy) Lynch of Pompton Plains, NJ; grandchildren: Michelle Pucci, Cindy Condliffe, Ann Clark, Laurie Pace, Chelsea Gentner, Sujata Gebhard, Mary Gebhard, Richard Kosier, Steven Kosier, Jason Kosier, Matthew Gebhard, Michael Gentner, Russell Gentner, Ethan Gentner; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Katherine Lynch of Dumont, NJ; many nieces, nephews and adopted grandchildren: Inge Jacobson, Eli Jacobson and Kelley Leemur.
Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Kathaleen and with her family extends the invitation to join them at 1PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jefferson for a graveside committal service, followed by a reception at Kathaleen’s home.
