Middleburgh – James H. Boyle, 81, formerly of Middleburgh, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Brookdale of Clermont, FL where he had lived for the last few years. He moved from Middleburgh to Groveland , Fl in 2007.
James was born in the Bronx on November 16, 1936 to Lillian (Muller) and James T. Boyle.
He proudly served in the United States Marines from 1960 to 1962.
James owned Boyle’s Auto Wreckers in the Bronx from 1958 to1983, before selling the business to his brother Dennis. He then partnered with his daughter and managed Integrity Automotive in Cobleskill for many years.
James was a hard worker, starting at age 11 to help his family. He possessed a strong faith, loved fishing, family gatherings, and celebrating Christmas. He also had his own plane and his private pilot’s license, taking to the skies as often as he could.
James’ family includes his son: James L. Boyle of Cobleskill; daughter: Debra (Tad) Stolar of New Hartford, NY; brothers: Dennis (Gail) Boyle of Middleburgh, Robert Boyle of Poughkeepsie; grandson: Brian Link of New Hartford; aunt: Margie Muller of Cape Cod, MA; cousin: Arlene Beddow of Ridgefield Park, NJ and several other family members and friends.
No formal services are planned at this time, a graveside committal service will be held in the spring in Breakabeen Cemetery along with a celebration of James’ life.
